Agribusiness TV selected for the programme “Innovate Africa – Entrepreneurs”

Category :Agribusiness TV

Agribusiness TV has been selected among the 20 young innovating media in Africa, that the French operator in media cooperation (CFI) will be supporting through its “Innovate Africa – Entrepreneurs” programme.

‘Innovate Africa – Entrepreneurs’ has been launched in order to specifically develop viable projects, with much focus being placed on their business model. It will accompany the 12 Innovate Africa finalists, with a further 8 digital media projects (of which, Agribusiness TV forms part) from French-speaking Sub-Saharan Africa also being selected following a call for applications.

These 20 projects will receive online support and guidance for around two months, before a one-week acceleration session is held in Dakar (Senegal), which will be attended by African and European mentors.

At the end of this session, the best eight projects will go on to the final phase of the programme, which will involve further online support and guidance for several weeks, and culminate in all of the projects being presented to investors in Abidjan (Côte d’Ivoire).

  1. Dear Agribusiness TV fellows

Your Agribusiness Media project is the best thing that I have seen to happen in Africa economic development. In my opinion and experience, your success depends on who, what and how and why you collect and disseminate vital market information in the context of the law governing the respective markets you operate and your strategy to influence concerned institutions and stakeholders including educational institutions to engage and integrate them on market base information they operate under.

I see your potential success if you consider yourself as viable Media enterprise capable of generating value and income than charity driven project distracted by unsustainable development hype of the past.

Look forward to see you strive and change the condition of many economies of Africa and beyond like no other Media ever attempted before.
